Job Requirements :

  • Masters LICSW, LMHC, LCSW
  • Experience in conducting assessments, group counseling, individual counseling, and treatment planning
  • Working familiarity and/or direct experience in the use of relevant technology (EMRs, telehealth, etc.).
  • Remote Work/In office work
  • Provide individual, group, family, marital, child and/or adjunctive therapies as needed and within area of expertise and limits of credentials.
  • Conduct case management services and prepare discharge summaries.
  • Interact with referral sources and other external providers to insure coordination of patient services
  • Monitor caseload to assure compliance with third-party payers, including chart reviews, completing pre-certification requests, initial and continuing reviews and authorizations.
  • Abide by the professional staff code of ethics and maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships and professional stature.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Masters Level
  • Knowledge of current clinical best practices in addiction treatment and demonstrated ability to put this knowledge into practical application.

Position: In-Home Therapy (IHT) Clinician

Program and Position Summary:

In-Home Therapy (IHT) is a service comprised of a Clinician and Therapeutic Training and Support Worker (TT&S) that, together, work with the family in their home to address the behavioral health needs of the youth. The IHT team works to implement interventions and strategies that address youth behavioral and emotional needs, family communication, family relationships/dynamics, parenting strategies, safety planning, and ongoing work towards the identified treatment planning goals. The IHT team utilizes a strengths-based, family-driven approach with an emphasis on building a community and natural support system for the youth and family in order to promote sustainability of treatment gains.

The IHT Clinician leads the IHT team in creating the treatment plan, providing family therapy, conducting safety planning, and coordination of other services. The TT&S Worker works closely with the family in implementing strategies as indicated in the treatment plan. This can include teaching the youth to understand and manage feelings, learning to interact effectively with family members, helping the family to understand how best to support the youth, and making referrals and linkages to services and supports. Lorenzi Health IHT works with families in the Springfield/Chicopee/Holyoke, area including surrounding towns.

Additionally, Lorenzi Health is excited to announce our Behavioral Health Residency Program! This innovative program is designed to support Masters level Clinicians working full time for Lorenzi Health IHT in achieving their independent licensure. This program provides a structured environment where Clinicians will receive: all clinical supervision and clinical work hours as required by the licensing board; exam study materials, test preparation classes, and individualized support to assist in passing the exam; 2 paid hours per week for 12 weeks to use as study time for the exam; as well as training to qualify for advanced job opportunities, take on leadership roles, mentor other providers, establish independent private practices, and work towards individual career goals! **There is no separate application for this program, simply apply to this job posting and ask about the program in your interview**

The IHT Clinician:

  • Provides family therapy in a home-based setting (outreach).
  • Completes a comprehensive, home-based assessment inclusive of the CANS, focusing on the needs, strengths, culture, current functioning, and history of the youth and family.
  • Creates treatment planning goals in concert with the family and other team members.
  • Works closely with the IHT Therapeutic Training and Support worker (TT&S) in implementing strategies as indicated in the treatment plan.
  • Provides safety planning, crisis management, intervention, and support as needed.
  • Provides support to youth and families in community-based settings such as schools, hospitals, and mental health clinics.
  • Maintains consistent contact with all team members in order to ensure that all are on the same page.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in the human services field that allows diagnosing
  • One year of experience working with youth and families is preferred, not required.
  • Must be MA CANS certified (before start date)
  • Should have knowledge of mental health diagnoses, community resources, and child/family-serving systems
  • Must have a driver’s license and own transportation for outreach

Lorenzi Health IHT works with families in the Springfield/Chicopee/Holyoke area, including surrounding towns. While the work with the families is in person, the work of the IHT Supervisor is flexible and can be primarily remote with occasional days in the office or more in person, based on individual work style and preferences.

The IHT Supervisor:

  • Provides clinical supervision and administrative oversight to a team of IHT Clinicians and TT&S workers
  • Provides initial training and orientation to new staff
  • Supports IHT staff in ongoing learning, skill development, and career development
  • Works with program leadership in creating and implementing policies and procedures
  • Works with IHT families as needed by the program
  • Serves as a back-up to on-call clinicians on a rotating basis

Education and Other Requirements:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in the human services field
  • Must be independently licensed (seeking an LICSW or LMHC for this posting specifically)
  • Must be MA CANS certified (by start date)
  • Must have a driver’s license and own transportation
  • Must possess leadership skills and the ability to meet IHT providers where they are at in their learning and skill development.
  • Must be able to use a strengths-based approach with all those encountered in the work.
